Study of Spatiotemporal Changes and Driving Factors of Habitat Quality: A Case Study of the Agro-Pastoral Ecotone in Northern Shaanxi, China

Habitat quality is a key indicator for assessing the biodiversity-maintenance functions of ecosystem services. The issue habitat changes in semi-arid and arid areas has been becoming serious, but there are few deep investigations these regions, such as studies temporal spatial its driving forces. This study focuses on agro-pastoral ecotone northern Shaanxi with vulnerable biodiversity. By using Fragstats software, InVEST model, Geo-detector we analyzed land-use data collected from 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020, explored landscape pattern index, variation quality, influence drivers. GDP, population density, precipitation, temperature, land use, NDVI, elevation, slope were detected by Geo-detector. research results show that: (1) Arable grassland dominant types 1990 to was significant mutual circulation between arable grassland. Forest area increased 24%. Many other transformed into construction land, 727% compared base period. (2) Landscape heterogeneity region, shown fractured structure overall aggravated human disturbance landscape. (3) Average underwent trend oscillation. Regarding distribution, higher east than west. (4) influencing factors monitored Geo-detectors that force use strongest, followed precipitation vegetation coverage.
